This intimate Lake Oswego Oregon elopement was so special with Katie and Patrick!
Their wedding was originally planned to be a big, 250-person celebration. Katie and Patrick were going to have the most amazing details, vendors, venue, and all the traditional aspects you’d expect. But COVID came along and changed their plans, like it did for most other couples in 2020!
So instead, Katie and Patrick decided to have a tiny celebration in their backyard at Lake Oswego, with about 18 of their closest friends and family. I know – can you believe this is their backyard?! It’s stunning!
They set up the most gorgeous table by the water with a light blue tablecloth & beautiful florals from Brier & Ivy, one of my favorite Portland florists. They kept their ceremony simple, with wooden chairs and florals decorating the benches they stood between. And their burgundy & black invitations?! Talk about beautiful!
It was honestly even better than anything we initially prepared for pre-COVID. I know a lot of couples found that despite plans having to change, COVID can’t cancel love – and that their adjusted plans ended up being even more perfect. I’m thankful for the humbling reminders that COVID has been providing us all with.
Katie and Patrick handled the entire experience with so much grace and perspective – it was an honor getting to see it all through their eyes! Two people madly in love, unwilling to let anything stand in the way of their commitment to one another! Congrats to these two and thank you again for allowing me to be a part of this amazing day!
