I feel so blessed that two of my best friends are equally as passionate about their dreams as I am mine. Kalen with The Rustic Elephant, and Megan with Makeup By Megan Renee, have helped me make my dream of photography (as a career) become a reality, while I get to help them make their dreams of creativity and art come to life through photographs. It’s an incredible experience and I could collaborate with them every day!
A few weeks ago the 6 of us (men included) drove to Bend, OR, to make this snow shoot happen. It was a vision we all wanted to create, and with our various talents, it worked out perfectly! Megan did the AMAZING makeup, Kalen made the stunning head piece and chose the location + outfits, and I got to use my camera to bring it all to life! A HUGE thanks to Kyle and Kalen for modeling for us… it was FREEZING cold and they were such troopers! You wouldn’t know it, but we actually photographed this entire session in LESS than 30 minutes…. we were prepared and ready to shoot and fire!
I edited these images differently than I ever have before. I wanted a very dreamy-like romantic feel, while still keeping the blue hues the snow reflected. I was nervous to go for it, but I really like the variety and look we got!
