Another shoot from my Arizona trip is on the blog today! If you guys can’t tell, I was completely in awe of Arizona, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I had while there.
Alexa and Cody are hands down some of the most genuine, sweet, humble, faithful people I’ve met. Coming in to this shoot with me as a complete stranger, it felt almost as if we’d been friends for years! Cody picked me up from my hotel, and we drove about 45 min to get Alexa. The entire drive flew by, and Cody was so easy to talk to/made me feel completely comfortable. He told me all about his and Alexa’s relationship, how absolutely smitten he is by her, and how excited/nervous they were to get their photos done!
By the time we picked up Alexa, I felt like the three of us were already best friends, and I already knew they would be a DREAM to photograph. Their love is the kind that feels contagious… you know when someone is so happy and giddy, you can’t help by feel that too. I swear, 90% of what came out of Cody’s mouth was a compliment towards Alexa, and my heart was mush.
Me: “You guys, this is amazing!!!!! I’m dying over these photos!!!”
Cody: “Well Alexa is the most beautiful woman in the world, with the most genuine and incredible laugh!”
Me: “Ok now turn towards each other and just be in the moment.”
Cody: “I love you so much. You look amazing. I love your hair! I’m so lucky to be with you!”
All the while, Alexa is the most humble human I’ve ever met, and she just took each compliment with grace and gratitude.
Overall, these two were unbelievably fun to photograph, because it was so genuine and real! I can’t wait to see where God leads them, because I know, big things are ahead for them.
ALSO- I got attacked by two jumping cacti during this shoot, broke out in hives, and had an awful sunburn. It seems like my love for Arizona is not quite mutual.
